A note to our AFP family:

Thank you for your interest in Fundraising Day 2020: The Fundraising Frontier. While we were excited to host another great conference and to welcome you on June 3 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this event in light of COVID-19.

The health, safety and well-being of our community is of the utmost importance to us at the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter and as such, we feel it is not appropriate for us to move forward with the conference at this time. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation as new information becomes available to ensure we are following the recommended best practices from health professionals – this includes practicing social distancing to keep our community safe.

We have explored various opportunities to offer the conference as a virtual professional development opportunity, but determined it is best to postpone at this time. Our staff team and volunteer committee worked extremely hard to plan valuable face-to-face networking and learning opportunities, and we feel this decision is within the best interest of our members, conference delegates, vendors, sponsors and partners. We have decided to postpone the conference until next year – June 1, 2021. We know that many of you were looking forward to this event and so we hope that you’ll save the date.

If you’ve already registered for Fundraising Day, we are asking that you please contact us at events@afptoronto.org to let us know that you have received this notice and to inform us on how you would like to proceed with your registration:
  • I would like you to hold my registration to be applied to Fundraising Day 2021
  • I would like you to refund my registration
  • I would like to donate my registration to the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada
We are more than happy to work with you on accommodation requests.

Please know that by choosing to donate your registration to the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada, you are supporting us in being able to continue to provide valuable educational programming and scholarship opportunities for our members. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be provided.
