Mobile Giving and text response have been fundraising game changers in many countries outside of North America enabling charities to engage supporters and acquire monthly givers at volume. In North America this channel has been stifled through over regulation and poor up-take by the charitable sector. This has recently changed with recent changes in mobile giving regulations and the launch of pilot projects by a number of pioneering Canadian charities who have embraced this channel. This session would take a deep dive into the lessons learned from Mobile fundraising and the ground breaking lead generation and text to donate campaigns run by the Canadian Red Cross last year. As well as highlighting case studies we will provide plenty of practical tips and recommendations for integrating mobile and SMS into your fundraising program.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Key success factors for mobile lead generation programs
  2. Insights and practical learning from the CRC’s 2016 mobile lead generation program
  3. How to integrate mobile and SMS into your program
