TIME: 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
COST: Members: $55.00 Non-Members: $75.00
This course will instruct participants on how to fund their unique activities as well as impart effective grant writing and reporting skills. You will also learn how to identify foundations willing to fund your organization. Participants will learn through lectures, practical exercises, and a variety of resource materials.
Learning Objectives:
Following completion of the session participants will be able to:
1. Articulate the differences among various types of corporate and foundation funders
2. Conduct research of funders and match their interests to the needs of the organization
3. Describe the process to develop and present a written proposal
4. Describe the importance of good stewardship in building lasting relationships with corporate and foundation funders
Target Audience: Entry-level development officers, staff and board members of nonprofit organizations.
Participation in both live sessions qualifies for 4.0 points toward CFRE education requirements.
