Presenter: Gayle Goossen, barefoot creative

 

Description:

 

This session will focus on the importance of brand equity for non-profit organizations, including the following three critical components:  how am I unique, brand implementation, and integrating brand into all aspects of your organization.

 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Understand the importance of brand and how to effectively plan the implementation of a brand project.
  • Evaluate your organization’s brand’s effectiveness through the assistance of a Brand Assessment Checklist.
  • Identify if your organization’s communications are brand true.

About the Speaker:

 

Gayle Goossen’s vision for excellence formed the foundations of barefoot creative, where she is currently partner and creative director. Her background in creative writing, literature and management fuels much of the work. Previously, Gayle was creative, direct marketing writer for World Vision Canada and quickly moved to the role of creative director, leading the organization in brand identity and consistency, communication and marketing materials, and marketing strategies. In 1998 she left to start barefoot creative, a communication company that works with international, national and local organizations to build their communication and marketing materials. Gayle’s overall goal is to maintain strong creative integrity, while maximizing the effectiveness of the communication the client is producing.

 

Participation in the workshop qualifies for 2.5 points toward CFRE education requirements.

About the Speaker: 

Chris Ward MBA, CMC, is founder and CEO of Riverhorse Brand Advisors. An experienced brand strategist, Chris earned his MBA from the Rotman School of Management. He has held senior positions in retail, manufacturing, distribution and professional services businesses; founded and presided over the rapid growth of a successful marketing communications firm that numbered among its clients some leading business organizations and not-for-profits; and has consulted to charities such as the YMCA, Boost for Kids and The Safehaven Project for Community Living.
