The Darling Home for Kids is seeking a Capital Campaign Coordinator who will work with a capital campaign volunteer committee, board of directors and staff to raise $2.2 M over the next 18 months. Reporting to the Manager of Fundraising, Administration and Development, the Capital Campaign Coordinator will be the central point person for all campaign activities.

Along with expertise in resource development, community fundraising and donor stewardship, the successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach to fundraising and strong organizational skills.

The Organization

The Darling Home for Kids provides paediatric hospice care and respite services to families across Ontario who have children with life limiting or life threatening illness requiring complex and/or technology dependent care. A successful Capital Campaign will enable the expansion of the hospice in Milton, Ontario from 6 beds to 12 beds, as well as the addition of a family room, snoezelen room and larger kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, cultivate and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
  • Serve as the central point person for all campaign activities.
  • Manage the production and distribution of campaign publications/materials
  • Provide necessary support to Capital Campaign Co-Chairs and committee members.
  • Liaise with the volunteer construction committee in the solicitation of gifts-in-kind for the construction project.
  • Attend Capital Campaign Committee meetings.
  • Track and report on campaign activities.
  • Ensure the stewardship and recognition of donors in accordance with The Darling Home for Kids recognition plan

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including managing a capital campaign and successfully raising funds in the not-for-profit sector
  • CFRE designation would be an asset

Compensation Type: Salary

Salary commensurate with experience.
