The Mon Sheong Foundation is a Canadian registered charitable organization, dedicated to the promotion of Chinese culture, heritage, language and philosophy through caring for the elderly, encouraging the young and providing programs and services in response to the needs of the community.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Fundraising & Events Management is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and management of all fundraising programs, including individual donor cultivation, major gifts and planned giving, private foundation, corporate sponsorship, annual campaigns, outreach, special events and government grants to achieve the goals and objectives set by the Fundraising/Events Committees and the CEO. The incumbent is also responsible for formulating and recommending innovative fundraising programs to generate new revenue for the organization, as well as overseeing the development and management of donor recognition program, fundraising events and stewardship.

Qualifications

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Fundraising or Marketing, Business
  • Management
  • Fundraising Executive designation (CFRE) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Member of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)
  • Solid management skills with a strategic attitude toward fundraising
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both English and Chinese;
  • Supervisory experience.
