The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), one of North America's finest art museums, is undergoing a Frank Gehry-designed expansion. When completed in 2008, the AGO will increase its viewing space by 47 per cent and offer visitors access to 110 galleries. The Development Division of the Art Gallery of Ontario is seeking a temporary full-time Campaign Associate. Reporting to the Campaign Manager, the incumbent participates in the implementation of cultivation and donor recognition strategies and events, and assists with pledge fulfillment and all donor stewardship activities relating to the completion of the Transformation AGO campaign. The Campaign Associate may also assist with prospect research as required, and by tracking individual and corporate prospect activity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education or equivalent combined education and experience.
• A number of years’ directly related experience in a development environment.
• Thorough knowledge of fundraising practices with proven campaign and fundraising experience.
• Familiarity with fundraising research tools.
• Directly related experience in a not-for-profit environment.
• Well developed organizational and analytical skills.
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Well developed interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Creative and enthusiastic with the ability to prepare and assist in presentations.
• Demonstrated experience in applicable computer programs and donor databases such as Sage, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Power Point.
• Directly related experience developing complex database reports.

This is a unionized position with a 2008 annual salary range of: $47,556 - $59,445.
