The Summit & AFP Fundraising Day 2008 Volunteer Bursary Program



THE SUMMIT & AFP FUNDRAISING DAY VOLUNTEER BURSARY PROGRAM

The AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Fundraising Day 2008 Bursary Program is designed to contribute to the professional development of individuals in the fundraising sector who might otherwise be unable to attend the Summit and Fundraising Day due to financial constraints. The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy-Canada supports this Bursary Program as part of its ongoing commitment to professional development in the field of fundraising.

The Fundraising Day Bursary Committee will offer bursaries to volunteers wishing to attend The Summit and AFP Fundraising Day. Bursaries are available to anyone that fills the criteria.

Criteria

In order to be considered for a bursary, applicants must:

1) Volunteer in a Canadian registered charitable organization with fundraising revenues of $1,000,000 or less (excluding government/United Way funding);

2) Have not received a bursary from AFP within the past five years; and

3) Can demonstrate financial need.

Application Procedure

Applicants must submit a completed AFP Fundraising Day Bursary Application Form no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2008.

The Fundraising Day 2008 Bursary Committee will review all eligible applications and inform all applicants of its decision by Friday, April 25, 2008.
