We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Annual Giving to work with Development, in the Division of Advancement for this exciting opportunity.

Are you a Fundraising professional with experience managing staff in a large, unionized environment?  Do you possess at least 5 years’ of experience employed in a leading role in a successful annual fund operation? Do you possess knowledge of the principles and practices associated with annual giving in higher education? Do you have the ability to lead an annual giving fundraising team? If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will develop and implement Annual Giving strategies and programs that identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts from governors, alumni, parents, faculty/staff and friends. These include in-person solicitations, telemarketing, direct mail, on-line giving, e-giving, and emerging opportunities (eg. those associated with social networking) through multiple branded programs including the Family Campaign, Leadership Giving, the Corporate Matching program, special solicitations and individually branded mail, telefundraising, and on-line campaigns. The Associate Director directs this activity, reaching over 150,000 prospective donors each year with a goal of securing gifts of up to $25,000.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

A university education or equivalent combination of education and fundraising experience, specifically in an educational setting. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 5 years’ of experience in a leading role in a successful annual fund operation. Management experience required preferably in a unionized environment. University fundraising experience will be considered an asset. We are seeking candidates who possess a CFRE professional designation as it is required (or demonstration that candidate qualified to complete the CFRE certification. CFRE must be secured within 3 years of start date).
