An exciting opportunity exists to lead the Advancement function at a pivotal time of growth and transformation for Rotman. Reporting to the Dean, you will provide strategic and managerial leadership to the advancement, alumni and communications teams at the Rotman School. As Executive Director, Advancement, you will assume responsibility and accountability for the overall development, design, implementation and oversight of the advancement portfolio. You will also add innovative thinking to alumni relations and donor relations including marketing and communications as they support fundraising and advancement activities. Through your collaborative general management approach, you will ensure that the School’s resources and people are aligned and working in unison to reach annual and longer range strategic advancement goals and objectives.
You are a highly respected strategic advisor and a proven fundraiser with successful and progressive experience in senior management roles. You have a good sense of the changing landscape of philanthropy in Canada and are creative in your approach to fundraising. Well educated with at least fifteen years of leadership experience and a next generation grasp of new media, you have succeeded through careful stewardship of relationships, both internally and externally. Ideally, you have experience in a similarly structured, large and complex organization with many stakeholders and partners.
