Are you the missing piece?

In the role of Manager, Campaign Communications and Marketing,

You will:                     

  • Develop and implement integrated strategic marketing and communications plans to advance the fundraising campaign’s brand identity, broaden awareness of the university’s campaign and priorities and increase the visibility across key stakeholder audiences.

  • Create marketing/public relations strategies that will allow Advancement to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, external audiences, including high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations and the general community.

  • As part of the Advancement and Alumni Relations department and in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing department oversee the development of fundraising and alumni print communications, electronic communications and websites; manage relationships with associated vendors.

  • Prioritize campaign media opportunities, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting materials for campaign volunteer leadership.

  • In collaboration with senior campaign leadership, recruit a national media partner (consortium) and a national advertising sponsor for the campaign.

  • Serve as the lead content writer and copywriter for campaign related materials, and coordinate the work of external writers as needed to meet competing deadlines.

  • A storyteller who understands what motivates and inspires donors, and can successfully utilize this in conveying the university’s story.

  • Self-driven, self-disciplined and results oriented.

  • Able to effectively manage a team, ensuring goals are met and day-to-day operations carried out.

  • A curious and strategic individual who likes to collaborate and connect the dots in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience

You have:

  • A degree in business, marketing, management, communications or related discipline or equivalent education.

  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing marketing and public relations materials for a variety of audiences and formats.

  • Strong ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

  • Proven relationship management, project management and management experience.

  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and networking skills.

  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software applications and client/donor relations management software.
