FUND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Full Time Permanent/ 37.5 hours per week

Lumacare is hiring a full-time Fund Development Coordinator to execute our fund development strategy.  You will be working with a team to launch a brand new fundraising program for the agency and bring it to market, while growing Lumacare’s brand identity in the community.

Your role would involve:

  • Planning and executing the agency’s fund development initiatives.

  • Organizing and implementing all agency innovation centre donor programs including direct mail, monthly and annual giving programs, employee contribution, peer to peer fundraising, e-commerce sales, third party and fundraising events, corporate partnerships, major gifts, legacy and memorial giving programs.

  • Oversee the agency’s donor database (E-Tapestry) and run the organization’s stewardship program in order to achieve fund development sustainability and growth year-over-year.

  • Create quality content, and lead meaningful engagement throughout all existing social media assets, blogs, and web updates related to fund development. Assist with the writing of grants as required.

  • Track budgets and expenditures for agency branded supplies and company-branded merchandise.

  • Participating in internal/external committees as required.

  • Other duties as required.

This position sits within Lumacare’s Resource Development and Communications Department and will also work closely with the team to support all marketing, communications, and events for the agency.

*Availability for some early morning, evening or weekend work based on event schedule is essential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Fund Development, Resource Development or related field.

  • Project management experience, preferably in a fundraising context.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in marketing.

  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies, best practices, and analysis.

  • Content management system (CMS) experience (WordPress preferred), experience with marketing automation (Mailchimp preferred).

  • Microsoft office suite and Adobe graphic design experience (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with experience in writing and producing marketing materials. Excellent creative writing skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a complex workload and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

  • Experience in leading volunteers is an asset.

  • Creative self-starter, forward-thinker who demonstrates a sense of urgency.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of team.

  • Passionate about continuous learning.

  • A Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is preferred.
