Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Director, Annual Programs and Alumni, the Advancement Coordinator, supports key operational administrative functions within the Advancement and Alumni Office.  Specific accountabilities include:  support of budgeting and forecasting; processing and tracking of payments and expenses; office coordination and oversight of business processes in terms of inventory tracking, and ensuring that IT related office needs are met.  The incumbent will also provide assistance in preparing materials for donor and alumni meetings, along with the preparing of necessary documents and collateral.  The Advancement Coordinator is the first point of contact all visitors have with our office, so excellent customer service skills are requires, as the incumbent will provide prompt and professional service to all donor and alumni inquiries received by phone, email and in person. 

Hours of Work: 35 hours/week                                                                                            

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess at minimum a three year diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Fundraising or Public Relations along with three years of related experience providing support in an office environment with emphasis on customer service, administrative duties and communication.  The candidate will have a strong background in budgeting and finance including experience with monthly financial reporting, budgets and variance analysis.  Previous fundraising experience from a reputable charity and ability to build and enhance donor relationships is required.
