Job Title: Manager, Monthly Giving
Location: Toronto, ON
CNIB is looking for an experienced, savvy direct marketing professional to help grow and diversify the monthly giving program. This will include the launch of a dedicated, sponsorship-style monthly giving program to support the new CNIB Guide Dog Program.
The Manager, Monthly Giving is responsible for strategy development and supervision of the monthly giving program, delivering successful campaigns to acquire and retain monthly donors through such channels as face-to-face canvassing, digital marketing and telemarketing.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Direct Marketing & Philanthropy Operations, the Manager, Monthly Giving will align channel strategies with CNIB’s philanthropy strategy to meet overall growth and profitability objectives.
Essential Duties entail (but not limited to):
Oversee the implementation of CNIB’s monthly giving program, using multiple direct marketing channels to acquire and retain recurring donors. Channels used include telemarketing, face-to-face canvassing and digital.
Lead the development and launch of a new sponsorship-style monthly giving program. This will include working with internal stakeholders to build and maintain a content library, ongoing management of donor data specific to this program, and implementing online and offline stewardship communications.
Proactively identify opportunities to test new acquisition methods and channels.
Work with team members, internal stakeholders and outside vendors to ensure campaigns timelines are met and that all marketing is integrated within the broader philanthropy strategy, brand guidelines and organizational messaging.
Contribute to the development of budgets and ensure that each program is meeting predetermined goals and functioning efficiently.
Analyze campaign performance on an ongoing basis to measure the effectiveness of all activity, adjusting strategies and tactical implementation as needed.
Work with the operations team and external vendors to ensure all gifts are received, processed and stewarded in a timely manner.
Maintain a working knowledge of relevant industry trends, as well as current affairs and issues impacting CNIB and stakeholders.
Any other duties as deemed necessary by Director.
Qualifications: (Education, Training, Experience):
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable conversing with a variety of people in different situations.
Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently with minimal guidance, while also function effectively within in a team environment.
Detail-driven; able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Data-savvy and able to leverage analytical insights to inform strategy.
Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications is required. Working knowledge of a CRM software such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce is strongly preferred.
Able to maintain positive, productive relationships with vendors and staff.
Experience and Education:
Five+ years experience in direct marketing fundraising. Experience in managing monthly giving programs is required.
Experience working with multiple channels of distribution, including mail, digital, telemarketing and face-to-face fundraising.
Track record of success in conceptualizing and implementing innovative direct marketing strategies and campaigns.
University graduate in marketing, communications or other related field.
Ability to speak French an asset.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours if required.
Desire to be a passionate advocate for CNIB and those we serve.
