We are currently recruiting for a Senior Advancement Officer to work with Development- Advancement for this exciting contract opportunity.
Are you a Fundraising professional with experience in stewardship and planned giving? Do you possess at least 5 years’ of recent and relevant experience in fundraising? In this role, you will support the full scope of activities related to the cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors managed by the Assistant Vice-President, Development. The incumbent works closely with the Assistant Vice-President, Development and in conjunction with the Research team to identify and qualify prospects and to strategically cultivate and solicit prospects and donors. The SAO contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to promote loyal giving and to upgrade donor giving, solicits gifts, and stewards donors. The incumbent actively participates in planned giving, donor relations and stewardship, annual giving, alumni relations, gift-in-kind and sound information management to advance York University’s cause.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A university education or equivalent combination of education and fundraising experience, specifically in an educational setting. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation required (or demonstration that candidate qualified to complete the CFRE certification process which must be complete within 3 years of their start date). In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and with significant exposure to stewardship and planned giving. University fundraising experience an asset.
