King’s University College is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director, Development and Alumni Affairs. Working closely with the Principal and the King’s University College Foundation, the Executive Director will have responsibility for creating and leading a major capital campaign. The Executive Director will provide leadership in, and oversight of, planning, coordinating and implementing all development programs, including major gifts, annual giving, special events, planned giving, prospect research and donor stewardship. In addition to supporting King’s priority projects and enhancing its fundraising capacity, the Executive Director will be tasked with establishing programs and designing strategies to build and nurture relationships with alumni and potential supporters. The Executive Director is also responsible for providing the vision and direction of the Alumni Association and its membership of more than 20,000 King’s alumni.
Candidates must have several years of senior fundraising management experience, ideally in an academic setting or a similar complex environment, have secured gifts in the 6-figure range, and hold a Bachelor’s degree. Experience with partner relations, alumni affairs, or community engagement would be a considerable asset. An inspirational team leader with a collaborative leadership style and a proven capacity to develop and sustain relationships internally across the University and externally, you have excelled in building a successful integrated advancement program. Your management experience includes mentoring and training, and creating key performance indicators that reflect both individual and organizational goals. Your excellent communication skills will assist you in passionately articulating the mission, vision and values of King’s University College to both internal and external partners, stakeholders, and donors. You have a bias to action and are a strategic thinker who can develop and deliver an engaging vision for the future of King’s.
