Fund Development Coordinator –  A joint position of Erin Mills Youth Centre and Global 180

The Fund Development Coordinator is a full time position managed jointly by Erin Mills Youth Centre (EMYC) and Global 180. The incumbent provides a strategic link between the agencies, their donors, and community at large with a focus on fund development that leads to greater sustainability of both EMYC and Global 180. While some activities and efforts will be conducted jointly, the Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator is responsible to support the individual fund development needs of both organizations. 


About Us 

Erin Mills Youth Centre (EMYC – equips youth with the skills, opportunities and perspectives needed to navigate toward a better future and maximize their potential. Our programming includes a community-based breakfast program, after school activities, recreational programming, and leadership development initiatives. We support grassroots community development projects in collaboration with residents and other community partners.

Global 180 (G180 – is a voice delivering a strong  message of hope and empowerment to make a difference. With a vision to facilitate a student-led movement that transforms the societal fabric of  schools, communities and nations, this organization is intent on seeding hope in the hearts of teenagers by helping them discover purpose while positively influencing their physical, relational and spiritual choices. 

EMYC and G180 have a strong history of collaborative work and partnership in program delivery. 


Responsibilities Include: 
• Support the implementation of best practices in fund development in each agency
• Coordinate the development of strategies to generate philanthropic support for the common and unique work of each organization
• Personally embody the values and branding of each agency as you proactively engage current and potential stakeholders and donors
• Support the work of each organization in grant application submissions
• Report to a joint leadership team
• Prepare fund development reports

• Actively pursuing a fund raising credential (academic or professional).  AFP membership is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising for non-profit entities
• Demonstrates self-motivation and initiative with the ability to remain focused on task both when working alone or with others
• Proven ability for strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player and able to collaborate with staff
• Proven strong organizational abilities
