Within a matrix operating structure, the Development Officer is responsible for fund development to support the mission of LTS. Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, this position will be accountable for the development of prospects, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, major and planned giving, sponsorship and strategic planning to ensure success. Working collaboratively with the Fund Development team, the incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal skills to creatively and persuasively build relationships and secure donations to support strategic organizational fundraising goals.
- Fundraising experience and demonstrated track record of achievement, most particularly related to major gift fundraising in the non-profit sector
- Completion of post-secondary education
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge database preferred
- Graduate of a fundraising program or working towards Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation an asset
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours and use personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as appropriate
- Bilingual (English French) an asset
This is a full-time 3 year renewable contract, which includes benefits and is located in our office in London, Ontario.
