Development Administrator (CPM-11214)

We are currently recruiting for a Development Administrator to work with Advancement - Development for this exciting opportunity. 

The Division of Advancement’s mission is to inspire and cultivate meaningful engagement and philanthropic support to advance York University’s excellence in education, research and community service. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting this mission by providing efficient and professional administrative support. As a primary point of contact for the Development Office there is a requirement to regularly exercise confidentiality, independent judgment, and a comprehensive knowledge of the University, its programs and personnel. The DA is responsible for effectively managing and scheduling the Assistant Vice- President’s and the Executive Director, Principal Giving & Donor Relations’ time to ensure maintenance of extensive standing meeting schedules as well as the flexibility to pursue an active agenda of priorities while maintaining the ability to react to quickly emerging issues. This position serves as the primary contact for all matters related to the Development Unit, as well as to the Assistant Vice-President’s and Director, Principal Gifts schedules and activities. The DA provides general administrative support to management, and events and projects related to key fundraising initiatives within the Development Unit and the Division of Advancement. The incumbent develops and maintains positive relations with key donors, alumni, volunteers and stakeholders who are essential to the reputation and philanthropic investment to York University.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

Community College diploma (University degree preferred) or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience. Minimum 5 years’ of recent related experience providing executive or senior administrative support, with a proven record of high accomplishments in all areas of office management in a large-scale or complex operational environment involving multiple stakeholders. Experience must include event and project management in a high-volume environment, writing correspondence, research, analysis and report/brief writing, creating files and agenda for meetings and arranging international travel. A thorough understanding of University structures, legislation, and procedures is essential.
