The CAMH Foundation is currently seeking a Development Associate, Corporate Partnerships.
(18 Months Contract Full-Time Position)
The Development Associate will provide administrative leadership and strategic fundraising support for the Associate Vice-President, Corporate Development and Senior Development Officer, Corporate Development. Additionally, the Development Associate will provide administrative support to the Corporate Cabinet (senior volunteers). The incumbent will enable and facilitate a high volume of strategic activity to deliver on ambitious growth goals through a blend of traditional philanthropy; multi-faceted partnerships; and sponsorship relationships with a range of small, medium and large businesses and organizations. In particular, this position strategically and proactively works with senior team members to help manage and implement discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies.
The Development Associate will support other strategic projects that help advance overall team goals as required. The successful candidate will be a mature, proactive, energetic and versatile individual who can manage multiple priorities in a busy development office. The successful candidate enjoys the challenge of working in a vigorous, successful fundraising environment with responsibility for a wide range of assigned duties and projects. The incumbent will require strong administrative, multi-tasking and organizational skills and relationship skills to track and complete assigned development activities and prospect/donor portfolios. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in related fundraising roles and strong Raiser’s Edge skills will be a significant asset.
Support the Corporate Development team to successfully cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and supporters to meet the goals of the Foundation
Provide administrative leadership and fundraising support including all aspects of scheduling and logistics of and material preparation and distribution for donor, volunteer (Corporate Cabinet) and team meetings, planning processes, reports and tours.
Develop and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Foundation’s corporate donors and prospective donors; as well as senior volunteers, Board and cabinet members.
Prepare timely donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship materials including complex briefing notes, call reports and gift agreements.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of gifts, acknowledgement letters, tax receipting and pledge reminders; updating of Raiser’s Edge including proposal details, call confirmations, activity tracking, contact information, relationships and action reminders;production of reports, including activity tracking, outstanding actions, pipeline status, and fundraising progress reports.
Prepare and distribute meeting notices, materials and minutes, agenda for meetings as needed along with attending team meetings and committee meetings and prepare comprehensive minutes.
Liaise with and respond to requests from corporate donors, volunteers, hospital leadership and other Foundation teams.
Organize, participate in and or lead donor tours and meetings as appropriate.

- University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years as a fundraising team member

- Advanced computer literacy: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), database software and spreadsheet programs; familiarity with Raiser´s Edge a significant asset.
- Interest in the major gifts process, in particular the demanding transformative gifts area
- Experience working in a health care or other large, complex not-for-profit environment
