In this role you will be responsible for the development and sustainability of the Leadership Giving program at York University. The incumbent develops strategy that utilizes various fundraising channels, personal solicitations and program development. Prospective donor audiences include alumni, parents, faculty, staff, board members, volunteers, students, and friends. Donor movement along the giving continuum, solicits gifts, utilizes senior administrators and fundraising volunteers to support their efforts, and supports stewardship initiative focused on this donor group. The incumbent actively develops and drives programming to disseminate to the Faculty focused Senior Development Officer(s) to ensure their activities are aligned with Advancement’s efforts in the areas of major gifts, planned giving, stewardship, alumni relations, and information management to advance York University’s fundraising efforts.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A university education or equivalent combination of education and fundraising experience, specifically in an educational setting. A Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation required (or demonstration that you qualify to complete the CFRE certification process which must be complete within 3 years of their start date). In addition, you will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional fundraising, with significant exposure to data analysis, annual giving, major giving, stewardship and planned giving. University fundraising experience an asset.
