Fundraising Sales & Sponsorship Director

As team leader and lead fundraiser, this position manages the Fundraising Sales & Sponsorship Program and Team for a growing and dynamic roster of charitable, non-profit and political clients. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of success that has been built through their natural entrepreneurial spirit coupled with the discipline of professional fundraising techniques and processes.
 

Client Fundraising Sales & Sponsorship Projects:

  • Project Goals range from $10K-$3M
  • Roster of Projects range from 4-8 active projects at any given time
  • Stages of Project Management for active projects are varied and fluid, at all times, from onboarding, prospecting, cultivating, soliciting, executing to closure
  • Types of Fundraising Sales & Sponsorships range from Individual Ticket Sales, Team Recruitment, Pledge Programs, Corporate Table Sales, Event +/or Program Sponsorships, to Corporate and Individual Major Gifts
  • Types of Fundraising Events range from cultivation events to top-tier galas
  • Sponsorship Categories range from $500 - $100K
  • Fundraising Event Schedule is robust year-round
     

REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Sponsorship or Corporate Major Gift fundraising and in a professional fundraising environment
  • Minimum 3 years managing multiple projects and teams  
  • Personal track record of successful campaigns and fundraising projects with solid examples of performance in identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and closing sponsorship agreements, corporate major gift requests, and fundraising sales
  • Strategic utilization of a donor-management system
  • Working with senior leadership volunteers

AGREEMENT

  • Valid G Class Driver’s Licence with access to vehicle and willingness to drive
  • Evening and Weekend work as required for the following examples, but not limited to: fundraising events, programs and functions; Donor/Committee/Client meetings or calls, as well as, as requested and/or necessary for project work related to the above  
     

PREFERRED

  • CFRE designation or working toward certification
  • AFP membership and training  
  • Volunteer experience
