SENIOR MANAGER, DIRECT RESPONSE
Operation Smile Canada is seeking a seasoned and accomplished direct response/annual program fundraiser to join a dynamic team and help us achieve our “wildly important” goals.
We’re a volunteer-delivered global medical charity that provides free surgery to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children and young adults. Active in over 60 countries around the world, we exist to make sure everyone gets the safe corrective surgery they need wherever they live in the world.
Through our medical and education missions around the world, guided by our Global Standards of Care, we are at the forefront of enabling local communities in low- and middle-income countries to provide safe surgery because we believe access to safe surgery is a basic right. The Senior Manager, Direct Response will help drive forward a national integrated direct response fundraising program that uses a variety of channels (direct mail, phone, digital, and DR/DITV.) Initially, your primary focus will be management and growth of the direct mail and monthly giving programs. There will be cross-functional opportunities for you to contribute your direct response fundraising expertise to help refine and expand our mid-level donor and email/digital programs, and scope out and build new programs like face-to-face. Operation Smile Canada’s model is team-based, so you’ll likely be involved in many facets of our fundraising efforts along with donor service and stewardship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- University Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing or a certificate/ diploma in fundraising,
- 5-plus years of relevant experience managing direct marketing and digital campaigns,
- CFRE designation an asset but not a requirement,
- Experience working with Raiser’s Edge is required,
- Experience working with external vendors,
- Demonstrated ability to work in MS Office and related software.
