As a member of the Management Team and reporting to the Executive Director, Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE), you are a dynamic leader who is passionate about building and implementing a comprehensive engagement program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for strengthened relations with Branksome Hall and its community of alumnae, parents, grandparents and friends. The Director, Community Relations serves as an integral member of the ACE team and will also work closely with the Branksome Hall Alumnae Association and Branksome Hall Parent Association to incorporate leading-edge practices in a progressive environment.
A strong communicator with a strategic vision, you are skilled at juggling multiple activities and a wide variety of programs in a complex organization, all in alignment with the Branksome Hall mission and vision.
- Ensures the development and implementation of a comprehensive community engagement strategy across all constituent groups;
- Provides supervision, coaching, and feedback to direct reports, encouraging collaboration and integration within the ACE department;
- Serves as an ambassador for the school both within and outside the organization;
- Stays abreast of key trends in the advancement sector and education community while developing and maintaining relationships with colleagues at peer schools to establish benchmarks and industry best practices.
As the ideal candidate, you hold a degree in a related field along with several years of experience working in a high-functioning Advancement operation and managing senior volunteers. You are an impactful leader who thrives in a complex, fast-paced and innovative environment. You are at ease engaging and collaborating with a range of stakeholders including alumnae, parents and friends, inspiring a strong commitment and connection to the school. A strong team player, you can work independently, exercising sound judgement while building long-lasting relationships. With a commitment to collaboration and providing guidance you are able to motivate team members in implementing a strategic vision. You bring an analytical, positive and can-do approach to programming decisions and problem-solving. Strong technology skills, proficiency in MS office applications and experience with automated software applications and fundraising systems complete your profile.
