Do you shy away from media interviews? Are you using acquired media in your communications plan? Did you send out a news release about your urgent needs during the crisis?
Acquired media is a valuable tool for non-profit leaders. Whether it is a TV, radio or print media opportunity, an interview is an easy, valuable and credible way to share your story with donors and potential donors.
Since March 16, Sam Laprade, CFRE has interviewed over 700 people about the impact of COVID-19. As a radio host and fundraising professional, she has been on both sides of this scenario. The lion’s share of the interviews she has conducted have been with non-profit leaders in Canada – sharing inspiring stories of organizations making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people during a crisis. What surprised her the most you're wondering? The number of non-profit leaders who were not prepared for these media opportunities.
This all-new virtual workshop will provide you with the information you need to be media ready!
What are your 5 W’s and H? What are your key messages? Do you have a hook? What is your call to action? How do you prepare for the call? What are things to avoid? How do you acquire media opportunities? How to make the most of the interview on your social media? Sam will touch on all of these things and more to get you prepared and feeling confident for your next interview opportunity.
