Ace your next (virtual) job interview!

Interviewing is stressful enough without the added challenges of a pandemic and an economic downturn. However, virtual interviewing is here to stay, and we will coach you through how to turn it to your advantage!

The key to a great interview is preparation….researching the organization, mapping out your experiences using specific examples, and anticipating questions. It’s important to understand what the hiring manager is looking and listing for. Communication is critical, and can reinforce (or detract from) your knowledge and experience.

In this session, we’ll explore different interview models and how to best prepare for each. We’ll share tips, tricks, and tools to help you understand how to excel in your next interview, and we’ll model best practices using role-playing.  We’ll also have a robust Q&A session, so that you can benefit from our ‘front row seat’ observations from helping hundreds of not-for-profit organizations hire at many different levels.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding different types of job interviews
  • How to best prepare for job interviews
  • Understanding what hiring managers and HR professionals are looking and listening for
  • How to anticipate interview questions
  • How to use brief experiential examples to highlight your experience
  • Understanding good-better-best interview answers by observing role playing
