Burnout: How to recognize it. How to avoid it. How to manage it.
Debbie Dankoff, MPNL, PPCC, CFRE
Debbie Dankoff has been working in the not for profit sector for over thirty years. The bulk of her career has been in major gift fundraising for higher education. Debbie is a certified Professional & Personal Coach, who uses her training when consulting for a variety of organizations in the charitable sector; her focus being on organizational development, donor stewardship and self-care. Debbie has long been concerned with the rate of turn-over in the NFP sector and more recently its tie to burn out - a state she discovered she was in, while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Not for Profit Leadership at Carleton University. Debbie is working to remove the stigma associated with burn out by sharing her experience, and wisdom gained from academic research and personal discovery.
Debbie is currently working to finish a book, she started ten years ago, describing, with humor, her experience going through treatment to combat breast cancer.
