Branksome Hall’s Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE) team is growing and poised to launch the most ambitious campaign in our school’s 116-year history. We are looking for high-energy, talented individuals, who have been waiting for the right vision and opportunity to make a difference.

As a member of the Advancement and Community Engagement team, the Stewardship Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and growth of all aspects of Branksome Hall’s Stewardship Program. The Stewardship Manager will focus on opportunities to both ‘surprise and delight’ donors, while ensuring accurate reporting to demonstrate our accountability for their generous gifts.

Key Accountabilities:

The Manager will be responsible for stewardship planning including the development of a program business plan and calendar including a timeline of activities, segment, evaluate and prioritize audiences and assist with the identification of Major Gift prospects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the implementation of stewardship initiatives including creating meaningful opportunities to engage Major and Planned Gift donors, ensuring donors are recognized and engaged in ways that are meaningful to them in accordance with policies and budget. The Manager will assist in the creation of individual stewardship plans and support the creation of recognition and naming policies for the Campaign as well as manage endowed funds to ensure appropriate spending. Other responsibilities will include liaising with key stakeholders to ensure seamless donor engagement, supporting the coordination of requirements to fulfil stewardship plans, managing the development of the Donor Impact Report and creating stewardship collateral. Applying a growth mindset, the Manager will also be responsible for identifying successful and unsuccessful methods and apply the learnings to improve future program development.

Candidate Profile:

As the ideal candidate, you hold a degree or related college certificate, along with five years of experience in a stewardship or related role. The successful candidate will possess a track record of creating innovative stewardship programs that lead to increased engagement.  With a positive, can-do approach, you have a demonstrated history of project management success, successfully setting priorities and meeting deadlines. A creative thinker with the ability to critically analyze projects, you are able to adapt to changing circumstances and problem-solve in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate has a strong sense of professional judgement, customer service orientation and enjoys working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a goal-oriented environment. Attention to detail will come with ease to the successful candidate, who also possesses strong organizational and communication skills. The Manager will have experience planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as the ability to analyze data and manage gift information, with understanding of relevant CRA regulations. Technically savvy, the Manager possesses advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM platform, Microsoft Office, and other graphic software (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
