Permanent Full Time Position


The Coordinator, Leadership Giving will provide the highest level of support on various programs within the Leadership Giving team. The Coordinator will be an active participant in a fast-paced team, joining at an exciting time of growth for the Leadership Giving team as well as in the VS campaign at SickKids Foundation. This position reports to the Associate Director, Leadership & Annual Giving.


  • Provide day-to-day service and support to ensure the effective execution and delivery of Leadership Giving initiatives;
  • Work closely with the Manager and Associate Director within the Leadership Giving team to ensure that fundraising team needs are met;
  • Identify potential new prospective donors, assist with cultivation, stewardship and solicitation of all donors within the Leadership Giving portfolio;
  • Assist fundraisers by compiling information needed to follow up on donor inquiries;
  • Ongoing monitoring of results for our programs and assistance with post campaign reporting;
  • Maintain donor database (referred to as KYDs - Blackbaud CRM) to ensure data integrity and produce regular standardized reports and database extractions;
  • Assist in the development of written proposals for Leadership Giving prospects;
  • Assist in the execution of SickKids Foundation’s flagship donor program, Innovators, through: membership tracking, revenue management, mass communications and website updates;
  • Support the development of marketing-related activities for Leadership Giving stewardship and solicitations such as marketing briefs, project coordination and data preparation in collaboration with the Business Intelligence & Information Technology (BIIT) team;
  • Set up new pledges and track existing pledges, reminder letters and remittance forms;
  • Support the Leadership Giving team with ongoing program reporting such as revenue, pipeline and donor activity;
  • Ensure meetings are secured with appropriate individuals and all details/logistics are well executed;
  • Remain current on all aspects of fundraising trends, and other areas affecting the fundraising team’s business;
  • Represent team on cross functional projects like donor events, Annual report, etc.;
  • Additional office duties and projects as assigned.


  • 1-3 years’ experience coordinating and implementing multi-faceted projects; preferably in a development/fundraising environment;
  • High degree of data literacy and data management skills;
  • Experience in leadership and annual giving is an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects within tight timelines;
  • In depth understanding of Raiser’s Edge or database management software;
  • Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn and use new software programs;
  • Team player mindset; ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with other Foundation teams;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and respond to team needs and manage multiple and changing priorities;
  • High energy and level of enthusiasm and the ability to work independently;
  • Flexibility to adapt and assist with other duties that arise;
  • A post secondary designation in Fundraising Management, Business or other applicable discipline; or translatable on-the-job experience.
