The Opportunity

The Development Officer administers a portfolio of donors and prospects for the University at giving levels under $25,000.  These duties will also include the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects of gifts and donor pledges.  In this role, the Development Officer assists the Associate Director of Development, Faculty of Communication and Design (FCAD) with planning and organizing events and coordinates with the central Annual Fund Office to manage the annual awards program.  In this role, the Development Officer supports the Alumni Relations mission by implementing programs and services, events and communication vehicles that build positive relationships with alumni.  

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree program in marketing management or a related field with specialty or focus in fundraising

  • A minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience within a post-secondary setting is required.

  • Ability to identify and secure qualification meetings with new prospects, and successful solicitation of gifts of $1000 a year or more. 

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Alumni Relations Planning. 

  • Fundraising database and MS Office Suite.
