Summary: Reporting to the President & CEO, the Manager, Development plays an integral role in leading Abilities Centre’s coordinated fundraising program and special events portfolio. The Manager, Development provides comprehensive management and day-to-day execution of fundraising functions to enable Abilities Centre to achieve its revenue goals while promoting a culture of philanthropy and a donor-centric mindset across the organization and its stakeholders. This position includes management of Abilities Centre’s frontline fundraising initiatives (including cultivation and solicitation within major gift, sponsorship, and annual giving portfolios), working in collaboration with the President & CEO and Senior Director, Finance to support the strategic development and implementation of Abilities Centre’s fundraising program within its overall revenue objectives. It includes the management and delivery of day-to-day development and stewardship activities such as database management, gift acknowledgment, receipting and donor recognition. In addition, the Manager, Development will coordinate and execute the special events strategy, working inter-departmentally and with external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met and providing quality experiences for all.
