The Position

The mandate of the Foundation’s Business Intelligence and Technology function is to identify and translate opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve individual, team, and Foundation targets in support of Southlake Regional Health Centre.  You will lead ensuring the technology and analytics is in place to support the fundraising and marketing areas in finding new ways to attract donors and by maximizing the value of existing donors through meaningful acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship.  As such, the Director will provide recommendations for high-level strategic decisions and direct tactical decisions for business intelligence tools and applications.  Responsible for leading the design and maintenance of business intelligence applications, this Director will report into the VP Finance & Administration, and will own the overall design and support of the BI technology environment, including information acquisition, management, warehousing and delivery solutions.  They will drive system improvement and free up time for fundraising staff to focus on relationship development with relevant, accurate, and timely reporting available to inform their work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of analytical and supervisory experience, experience at a Hospital Foundation would be an asset
  • Numerate, analytical, with a high attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Results oriented with a strong business acumen and customer service mindset
  • Ability to develop and evolve long-term strategies while driving tactical projects
  • Advanced knowledge of non-profit systems such as Blackbaud Raisers’ Edge, Luminate/Team-Raisers, Omatic
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to develop and improve process flows
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must not only adapt to change but drive continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build solid, effective working relationships with others within a team environment
  • Requires a positive attitude, ability work effectively in pressured situations, and comfort in a fast-paced environment

As the successful candidate, you must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
