The Senior Development Officer, Schulich School of Business at York University is a key position in the department of Development and Alumni Relations and plays an important role in advancing the University's mission and goals. Reporting to the Director, Development and providing support to the Executive Director, Development and Alumni Relations, the Senior Development Officer is responsible for the full scope of activities related to the cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of a portfolio of leadership and major gift prospects and donors for the Schulich School of Business. The incumbent works with senior administrators to identify and qualify prospects and to strategically cultivate and solicit prospects and donors. The incumbent develops strategies to promote loyal giving and to upgrade donor giving, personally solicits gifts (both independently and in conjunction with senior administrators and senior fundraising volunteers), and stewards donors. The incumbent actively participates in gift planning, donor relations, corporate engagement and stewardship, annual giving, alumni relations, and sound information management to advance the Schulich School of Business' cause.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

A university education or equivalent combination of education and fundraising experience, specifically in an educational setting. Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation required (or demonstration that candidate qualified to complete the CFRE certification process which must be complete within 2 years of their start date). Minimum of 5 years' experience in professional fundraising, with a focus on leadership and major gifts, and with significant exposure to stewardship and annual giving programs. University fundraising and major campaign experience an asset.
