The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Engagement and Stewardship, the Alumni Relations Officer is responsible for developing and coordinating alum relations programs and events to enhance and strengthen alum relationships with Branksome Hall. You will have the opportunity to create, develop and support a comprehensive program of outreach and awareness-raising activities that engage our more than 5,500 alums globally. In partnership with the Associate Director, the successful candidate will strategize and develop new opportunities to bring students and alum together as often as possible.

Key Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with volunteers and will engage regularly with the Branksome Hall Alumnae Association leaders and will advocate for fundraising opportunities, wherever possible.

Acting as the primary contact for alum, the successful candidate will recruit and organize volunteers for alum relations activities. In partnership with the Associate Director, Engagement and Stewardship, you will implement an annual engagement plan, and launch a young alum program. Collaborating with the Events Specialist, the incumbent will plan and execute all alum relations events while identifying, evaluating, and measuring all alum engagement opportunities, making recommendations where necessary to maximize engagement against stated goals. The successful candidate will also work with the Associate Director to create, develop, and implement programs to bring students and alum together, including new mentorship opportunities and classroom engagement. You will also provide support to the Alumnae Association and partner with the Treasurer to manage their budget, with support.

Candidate Profile:

As the ideal candidate, you hold a degree in marketing, communications, public affairs, fundraising or other related fields along with a minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience. Your experience will include a combination of alumni relations, volunteer management, event management, direct marketing and front-line customer service. You will also have demonstrated success in program development and relationship management. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent judgement, interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.

With a strong sense of professional judgement and customer service orientation, you thrive in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple time sensitive and complex priorities, meeting deadlines effectively. Your strong interpersonal skills make you a skilled communicator with well-honed editing and proofreading skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion while always maintaining confidentiality. A strong team player, you work effectively with a range of stakeholders to meet a common goal. Strong technology skills as well as proficiency in MS office applications, Google Suite and Raisers’ Edge, complete your profile.
