Co-ordinator, School and Employee Campaigns
Overview:
The ShareLife & Development Office is seeking a full time Coordinator, School and Employee Campaigns to promote and market the overall mission and purpose of ShareLife to Catholic Schools, Principals, educators, students, parents, Trustees and Board personnel, and encourage activities to raise funds for the ShareLife campaign. In so doing, the Coordinator also works collaboratively with the Parish Campaign Officer to strengthen the integration of the School’s Campaign with the Parish Campaign. Under the direction of the Associate Director, Major Gifts and Corporate Campaigns, the role promotes, researches, coordinates and administers employee campaigns conducted in companies and community giving campaigns within the geographical boundaries of the Archdiocese of Toronto. The Coordinator ensure stewardship of donors who elect via these platforms, and works collaboratively with colleagues regarding crediting to the relevant parishes, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with Catholic schools and School Board committees (such as: Parent Councils, Student Trustee forums, Chaplaincy groups, etc.) across the Archdiocese
- Promote the awareness and the needs of the ShareLife agencies to the schools, employees and School Boards
- Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications teams, develop strong donor centered marketing material for use within the School Boards and throughout the School Communities to promote ShareLife and increase participation and revenue generation
- Oversee the launch of employee campaigns in the Catholic District School Boards in the Archdiocese
- Oversee the launch of school-based and student-based campaigns in the Catholic District School Boards
- Work with schools to develop and implement ShareLife Campaign best practices, activities and special events that will support the ShareLife appeal
- Promote ShareLife week in schools across the Archdiocese
- Conduct regular analytics to track and report on the participation and results of schools supporting ShareLife in the Archdiocese of Toronto and support growth objectives
- Maintain a recognition program for schools who participate in the campaign
- Represent and act as a liaison between schools and ShareLife agencies to carry out presentations and participate in meetings during the campaign
- Work collaboratively with the Parish Campaign Officer, enhance the ShareLife Campaign results by integrating the Schools Campaign with the Parish Campaign more effectively where possible
- Work with the Associate Director, Major Gifts and Corporate Campaigns, research, approach, and develop relationships with companies that carry out employee campaigns across the Archdiocese, seeking support for ShareLife
- Maintain a recognition program for companies who support the ShareLife appeal through employee campaigns and ensure donor stewardship
- Manage community giving campaign platforms and effectively steward donors who elect to give via community giving channels and work collaboratively with colleagues regarding the same and ensuring crediting results to the relevant parishes for reporting
General Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma
- A minimum of two to three years of full-time working experience
- Excellent presentation, research and analytical skills
- An understanding of the Catholic education system
- A self-starter with a strong sense of initiative who is able to motivate and organize others to support a common goal
- Ability to work both independently and as a productive team member
- An enthusiastic personality and an ability to relate well with people of various ages in different contexts
- Ability to community in the French language is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Experience working in a not for profit organization would be an asset
- Experience working for an organization with youth programs is desirable
- A criminal background check will be required of the successful applicant
