The AGO is at a critical and exciting moment of growth and change. With a professionalized Development team of around 25, the AGO raises in the range of $20 million annually for operations, special projects, art acquisitions and major campaigns and also administers works of art donations. Endowment, restricted and unrestricted funds totaling $90 million are held in The AGO Foundation, and the American Friends of the AGO receives and receipts gifts from U.S. donors. The AGO is preparing for a new major fundraising campaign including capital, endowment and works of art in support of the AGO’s 10-year vision.
The AGO is currently looking for a highly organized, proactive, and personable Development Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships to support corporate revenue generation activity within the Division. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships, the Development Coordinator will assist with proposal and solicitation materials, coordinate the execution of sponsorship activations, events and other deliverables as contractually committed; collect materials related to partnerships for comprehensive partnership program audits and reports; coordinate sponsor related updates to website content; draft correspondence; process and track payments; prepare invoices and tracking expenses; maintain records of prospects/sponsors/ Corporate Members in the Development database and in hard copy files; prepare reports from the Development database; and coordinate committee activities.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years directly related experience, preferably in a corporate sponsorship environment
- Experience in creating and executing events, marketing campaigns and promotions
- Well-developed administrative, analytical, organizational, time management skills
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding and commitment to sponsor and donor servicing
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to interface with senior corporate personnel, AGO staff, trustees, donors and volunteers
- Demonstrated experience in applicable computer programs and donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the visual arts
