Development Manager – Ontario

We are seeking a skilled, driven, committed and passionate person to provide outstanding services as our Development Manager within our International Headquarters Office. While our headquarters is in Burnaby, British Columbia, we are looking for a remote worker in the Greater Toronto Area to lead our fundraising initiatives in Ontario.
Ratanak approaches donor development as an opportunity to expand genuine partnerships in serving Cambodia, where donors are well informed, feel appreciated and receive sincere care, concern and prayer from the Ratanak team.
Role Description:
Reporting to the Development Director and working alongside the fundraising team, the Development Manager leads, supports and grows philanthropic giving in Ontario (with a focus on the Greater Toronto Area).
The Development Manager will develop a plan for Ontario to support the annual Fundraising Strategy. This position will work directly with individual and institutional donors and churches to develop, maintain and expand existing relationships, along with acquiring new donors. As Ratanak International’s representative in Ontario, the Development Manager will connect regularly with existing or prospective donors, as well as church communities to effectively communicate the mission and ongoing work in Cambodia and support other initiatives and events in the region as needed.
Qualifications:
As an applicant, you enjoy building meaningful relationships and are passionate about building resources for charitable work. You love to network and connect with people and feel confident in your ability to communicate professionally and articulately with donors both verbally and in writing. You are keen to conceptualise and create a fundraising plan and have a proven record in developing and implementing strategies that result in funding growth. Not only are you knowledgeable about a range of fundraising approaches, but you also have good understanding of the charitable sector including fundraising best practices and regulations. You are an efficient and organized person who can manage projects and meet various deadlines. You are comfortable to work and lead in a faith-based environment and as an active part of a small, collaborative and fun-loving team.
You have at least 5 years of work experience in a role focused on fundraising, donor development or marketing. Experience working for a non-profit or charity is an asset. Completion of a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree program is required.
Scheduling and Remuneration:
This is a full-time position (5-days per week), commencing July 2024. The gross salary range for this position is $62,450 – $76,328 per year (depending on education and experience) based on a workweek of 40 hours per week with access to a comprehensive group benefits package. Candidates must be comfortable with travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area with periodic domestic and international travel for work purposes.
