The Opportunity
Are you motivated by the opportunity to positively impact mental health for young people in Canada? Would you be passionate about helping young people deal with the challenges of growing up in today’s complex, ever-changing, technologically-driven world? You have an understanding of how research and analysis works to advance fundraising strategies. You are a naturally inquisitive with strong attention to detail. Ideally, you have a background in prospect research and are able to combine strong database abilities with effective prospect management practices to enable our mission and vision for youth mental health. The Position: The Development Officer, Prospect Research & Management (DO) is responsible for providing research, analysis and data management support to staff and volunteers engaging in fundraising activities. As a member of the Advancement Department, the Officer will provide expertise in aligning research and prospect management strategies to Kids Help Phone’s strategic goals and operating plan – delivering prioritized, high quality, accurate and timely prospect research to build Kids Help Phone’s supporter base, increasing not only quantity of the prospect pipeline but also the quality of the organization’s prospects and data. The DO is responsible for the accurate information flow to and from fundraising staff and to ensure the integrity of prospect data and reports in Raiser’s Edge. This role will be a critical position in the largest fundraising campaign of its kind for youth mental health in Canada’s history and in supporting key strategies contributing to KHP’s long-term financial success after this campaign.
