The Role:

Summary of Function

Reporting to the Vice President, Communications and Brand, you are a values-driven, strategic and highly organized creative member of the Marketing Communications and Donor Engagement team.  The ideal candidate has expertise in developing and implementing integrated marketing communications plans; has worked extensively developing digital campaigns for both awareness building and fundraising; has played a significant role in brand development and analytics and; understands the importance of brand and communications objectives for events. A masterful project manager, this role requires the nimbleness to oversee many different projects at once, have fun doing it, and thrive in a busy environment while managing, mentoring and coaching team members to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Direct the operationalization of the portfolio’s integrated communications plan
  • Working with the team, lead content development for events and podcasts, including our signature gala Women for Women’s, In Conversation With webinar series, and our women’s health and Black healthcare summits
  • Lead brand development campaigns
  • Work with hospital on integrated media relations activities for the Foundation
  • Direct the editorial planning process with team on quarterly basis
  • Oversee management of external creative agencies and/or research firms as it relates to brand development, campaign messaging and communications support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Vice President in the development of annual integrated marketing campaigns, including budget development
  • Successful management and professional development of Manager, Marketing Communications; Digital Communications Officer, Creative Content Officer and Communications Officer, Content.
  • Working with Manager, Communications and Director, IT and Donor Analytics, and using CRM tools and Google Analytics, help to establish engagement and performance metrics to help make data-driven decisions to optimize future digital campaigns.
  • Writing creative and campaign briefs and critical paths
  • Be a high performing team player by embracing and consistently enacting organizational values of respect, caring, integrity and partnership, supported by being authentic and accountable to yourself and your team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of seven to 10 years marketing communications and PR experience, ideally in a fundraising or marketing/agency environment;
  • Minimum university undergraduate degree
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Proven ability to lead high engagement digital campaigns
  • Thorough understanding of brand development process
  • Superior project management skills
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Word, WordPress, PowerPoint, SEO, SEM, google analytics; Hootsuite; Sprout;
  • Proficiency with zoom, Excel and familiarity with Blackbaud’s NXT
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills; experience writing for marketing and non-profit purposes;
  • Creativity and imagination;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and to work well under tight timelines or changes in priorities;
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented;
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours, on occasion; and
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers and external stakeholders in a collegial environment.

Salary Range: $103,000 – $115,000. Eligibility for merit pay and comprehensive benefits including Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan enrolment.
