Based in Kelowna, UBCO is seeking an inclusive and aspirational Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and direction of development and alumni engagement on the UBCO campus. Reporting dually to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Associate Vice President Development, the Executive Director will lead a team of nearly 20 professionals responsible for executing the DAE strategy and will be a member of the UBC Development Leadership Team. The Executive Director will also be a member of the UBCO Senior Leadership Team and will develop relationships with academic and administrative leaders to define and deliver on fundraising priorities and to cultivate an exceptional alumni experience.

As UBC plans for its next and most ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement campaign, this is an exciting time to join UBC and create partnerships to advance the mission and vision of the University. The ideal candidate will bring considerable depth of experience in fundraising, alumni engagement, strategy development, inclusive behavior and practices, as well as a thorough understanding of fundraising in a University environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, discretion, and sound judgment are required.

As a top tier research university, and a go-to destination for the world’s brightest minds, UBC has the opportunity to influence what our future will look like. DAE is inspired to enable UBC’s pursuit of excellence in research, learning and engagement by maximizing donor and alumni engagement.
