
Major Gift and Sponsorship Associate

Wellspring is a Canada-wide non-profit organization consisting of a network of community-based centres, each offering programs and services, at no charge and without referral, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. Wellspring charges no fees and receives no core government funding. Programs and operations are made possible only through the generosity of donors and funds raised through donations, sponsorships and special events.
As a member of this gifted Fundraising team, you will Secure event sponsorships; help to set and meet major gift ($10,000+) targets; qualify, cultivate and solicit donors; help build and maintain the donor pipeline, including database tracking; write letters of intent and proposals; prepare packages, presentations, etc.; liaise with potential donors to identify alignments and targeted approaches for support; research prospective supporters, and participate in prospect identification meetings; cultivate and steward major donors through events. Together, you will succeed.
To be considered for this position, you should have a minimum of one year of fundraising experience; exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and effectiveness in building, nurturing and leveraging strong relationships with donors, volunteers, staff, colleagues and other stakeholders—with a team.
