It is within this context that SickKids Foundation is expanding our Direct & Digital Marketing Team with a new Manager, Annual Giving.
POSITION STATUS: 13 Month Contract

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The Manager is a key member of the Direct & Digital Marketing team and is responsible for leading efforts to support Retention within the Annual Giving team. This includes developing and executing integrated campaigns with best-in-class creative to increase revenue, leading data and analysis projects, providing leadership and mentorship to Associate, AG, defining and upholding processes in collaboration with other stakeholders and driving the overall evolution of the Donor Journey.
The position reports to the Associate Director, Annual and Leadership Giving.
Required Skills
YOU WILL:
- One-time donor strategy: Work with Associate Director and other team members to develop and support strategies that cultivate and solicit SickKids’ one-time donor base
- Revenue growth: Identify and implement strategies to drive revenue growth from SickKids’ active donor base, including solicitation campaigns, cross-sell of other SickKids offers and upgrades into monthly and mid level segments. Data analysis and targeting strategies will be a key factor in all campaign activity;
- Campaign management: Develop and execute compelling and effective campaigns from strategy development through to execution (building campaign briefs, complex data requests to data and analytics team, creative and media plan development and approvals, results monitoring, optimizations, AB Testing, post analyses, etc.);
- Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to optimize, engage, and drive revenue in donor-driven channels such as Tribute and In-Memory gifts;
- Partner management: Manage day-to-day external agency and internal partner relationships (timelines, workbacks, status updates, approvals, contract reviews, budget management, data management, etc.);
- Analysis and reporting: Accountable for ongoing revenue/expense forecasting, campaign P&L management, results reporting and campaign post analyses, as well as contribute to the development of the business plans for programs within the portfolio;
- Collaboration: Ongoing work with other Foundation teams (Data and Analytics team, Direct and Digital Marketing colleagues, Brand) to support cross-foundation priorities, such as data integrity, integrated planning, donor acquisition, and integration of Salesforce, including Journey Builder;
- Donor journey development: Support development of donor journeys, which will include qualitative and quantitative analysis, establishment of donor value proposition, journey mapping. The manager will define and influence requirements to drive triggered communications based on donor behaviour;
- Diverse community strategy: Support initiatives to target diverse segments;
- Process champion: Responsible for process improvements with a deep understanding of their purposes to find opportunities to improve them. As SickKids evolves and priorities shift, keeping our processes current and on purpose will make the donor experience best in class.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to Associate, Annual Giving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate;
- 5+ years relevant experience working as a manager and as an exceptional marketer with proven experience in developing programs and campaigns that drove results;
- Strong business and financial acumen;
- Experience in CRM and executing data-driven retention campaigns, with expertise in the areas of direct mail, email and digital. The Manager will also work with SickKids’ telemarketing agency, overseeing telemarketing and SMS campaigns, so experience here would be an asset;
- Experience with results tracking, analysis and budget control reporting;
- Experience working with and managing agency partner relationships;
- Experience with people management or mentorship an asset;
- Superior communication skills and well-developed presentation abilities;
- Knowledge or experience with the Not-for-Profit environment isn’t mandatory, but is an asset;
- Exceptional project management skills.

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $78,481 – $95,650 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $112,820. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the Manager, Annual Giving position.
