Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Development and Donor Relations in the Development and Donor Stewardship Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.  The salary range is $85,529 to $106,911 for a 35 hour work week.  Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Development and Donor Stewardship, the successful candidate is responsible for coordinating donor engagement, recognition, and stewardship with current and prospective donors to Niagara College. In addition, this role is also responsible for leading the design and implementation of a Leadership Giving Program, with annual fundraising targets associated with this portfolio. This role will work collaboratively with members of the Advancement team (Communications, Development, Alumni, and Community Relations & Events) to effectively communicate the impact of giving to the college’s major gift donors, as well as develop and execute comprehensive stewardship plans to recognize and engage donors at every level. The incumbent will also oversee donor recognition, donor communications and reporting, donor events and experiences, and other stewardship activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparing various reports for leadership, including, annual reports, endowed funds, reports on giving
  • Defining and implementing stewardship programs for every level of donor
  • Planning and implementing a leadership level giving program
  • Engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and managing a portfolio of leadership donors and donor prospects
  • Designing individual donor engagement plans, scheduling meetings, and follow-ups
  • Actively contributing to Moves Management and Clearance calls with leadership
  • Responsible for fundraising and managing a portfolio of donor and donor prospects at the leadership level ($10,000 to $25,000) annually
  • Achieving annual fundraising targets, set in consultation with leadership
  • Supervise workflow and deliverables of direct reports
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to team members
 Qualifications:
  • Minimum four (4) year degree in a related field of study
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen to manage, coach and motivate staff
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations, demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Highly organized and flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks and relationships in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Proficiency with databases (Raiser’s Edge), spreadsheet, and word processing applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation and/or diploma/certificate in fundraising is considered an asset
