
Manager, Mid-Level Giving Program
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Direct Response, the Manager, Mid-Level Giving Program is responsible for the leadership and daily coordination of the Arthritis Society’s mid-level giving and tele-fundraising programs. This role ensures integrated efforts to foster the acquisition, stewardship and retention of mid-level and tele-fundraising donors (as defined by the Arthritis Society) across the country by building and sustaining strategic, efficient, and effective programs.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Leads and manages the annual planning of the mid-level giving program and initiatives, including preparation of the revenue and expense budgets, reporting on KPIs, and vendor due diligence.
- Responsible for personal stewardship and solicitation of prospects within the mid-level giving program to meet annual revenue targets for this program.
- Leads and coordinates the execution of the tele-fundraising program, ensuring it stays on schedule and meets set deliverables and annual revenue targets.
- Manages the revenue reporting needs for the program, including the analysis of weekly revenue reports and updating internal dashboards.
- Any other projects and duties as assigned by fundraising leadership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience preferably gained within the charitable sector in direct marketing including direct mail, telemarketing and online fundraising with a focus on leadership giving donors.
- Post-secondary degree in Fundraising, Communications and/or other relevant discipline.
- Proven track record in strategic thinking and planning, as well as the ability to pivot on the plans to
- execute end-to-end.
- Strong command of direct marketing principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with creative or fundraising agencies.
- Driven, energetic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate fundraiser.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative style with local and nationwide colleagues and stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver excellent, timely customer service.
- Exceptional written and oral skills. Bilingual (English and French) language skills an asset.
- Strong level of comfort and experience with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge experience preferred) and Microsoft Office.
COVID-19 Vaccinations:
A requirement of employment at the Arthritis Society is to be and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including receiving such booster vaccinations as are recommended by provincial or federal health authorities from time-to-time). As such, successful candidates must provide satisfactory proof to the Arthritis Society that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Arthritis Society will consider, on a case-by-case basis, requests for medical or other exemptions from this requirement based on protected grounds under applicable human rights legislation. Where an exemption is granted, an employee may be required to undergo testing for COVID-19 and demonstrate a negative result at regular intervals to be determined by the Arthritis Society, and at the cost of the individual (subject to applicable law). At the Arthritis Society’s discretion, this vaccination requirement may be extended to apply to such other vaccinations as are required or recommended by provincial or federal health authorities to maintain a safe and healthy workplace and community, including by preventing infectious disease transmission.
