SALARY RANGE: $104,000 – $109,000 per annum

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Direct Response, the Manager, Monthly Giving is a new role focused on the increased investment in the growth of the Monthly Donor portfolio. The Manager, Monthly Giving is responsible for the acquisition, stewardship and retention of the Monthly Donor file. The Monthly Donor file is a growing revenue source for UHNF and the Manager will own and work cross-collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to enable the growth strategy to achieve donor, revenue and retention targets. The Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight of the monthly giving program, including the annual planning, external vendor partnerships and working with internal teams to grow this revenue source.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Generation
- Work with the Director, Direct Response to develop multi-channel Monthly Giving fundraising strategies and manage team in execution to achieve revenue goals. Channels include but are not limited to:
- Face-to-face canvassing
- Telemarketing
- Direct Mail
- Digital
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to increase the engagement and lifetime value of donors at each stage of the donor journey
- Monitor and provide insights on performance and execution to facilitate program growth, proactively identifying trends and opportunities and implementing gap closing or program expansion plans to ensure optimal program performance
- Monitor overall execution and results reporting in collaboration with internal Business Intelligence team
- Manage and lead external vendor partners to execute programs on strategy and on budget ensuring goals, timelines and KPIs are met. Report and manage issues that arise with vendors to resolution.
- Provide updates and reports to Senior Leadership on program performance, key achievements and portfolio projections
- Manage the ongoing stewardship of new and existing Monthly Donors, including establishing KPIs on donor journeys to ensure strong retention and value maximization of portfolio
Strategic and Operational Planning or Data analysis, reporting and expense management
- Manage the Monthly Giving budget, including expense and revenue management for acquisition, stewardship and retention activities
- Analyze performance metrics on a monthly basis to drive proactive solutions-oriented program improvements and strategic planning
- Align spending priorities with organizational objectives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
- Leverage data and market insights to inform strategic program decisions
- Ensure alignment of departmental strategies and identify cross-functional opportunities across the foundation
Team Coaching & Management
- Lead individual and team annual goal setting and planning, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and processes
- Develop clear roles & responsibilities, goals and work plan for direct reports
- Encourage, coach and foster opportunities for development and personal growth
- Support employee engagement strategies as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- University degree, college diploma, or equivalent years’ work experience in fundraising, marketing or related field.
- Minimum 5 plus years of relevant work experience in a direct marketing and/or fundraising role and 2 years of people leadership
- Strong knowledge of F2F, Digital and Telemarketing channels
- Proven experience leading and managing direct response fundraising programs
- Demonstrated success managing external agency partners and delivering programs against established goals
- Experience supervising, coaching, and developing team members
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Strong financial acumen
- A solid understanding of metrics, analysis, and effective fundraising best practices
- Demonstrated experience executing successful fundraising campaigns with tracked ROI
- Highly results-oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail and ability to multi-task;
- Self-motivated team player with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced, service and results oriented environment
- May have some activity outside of the office to support meetings
- The Foundation has a hybrid work model. Staff will be required to be in office a minimum of 2 days per week and will be required to have a safe home office set up for the remainder of the working days (specifics to be planned with your manager).
