The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Campaign and Development and working collaboratively with other members of the Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE) team, the Manager, Stewardship will be responsible for the development, implementation, and growth of all aspects of Branksome Hall’s Donor Stewardship Program. The Manager will develop and drive a comprehensive and strategic recognition and engagement system that relays impact while educating and inspiring donors.
In collaboration with members of the ACE team, the successful candidate will focus on opportunities to both ‘surprise and delight’ donors, while ensuring accurate reporting to demonstrate our accountability for their generous gift. In addition to managing the development of the Donor Impact Report, the incumbent will also participate in creating individual stewardship plans and provide support to the recognition and naming policies for the campaign. Other key activities include, assisting in developing and planning donor stewardship events, identifying Major Gift prospects, and creating meaningful opportunities to engage Major and Planned gift donors
Candidate Profile:
A creative thinker with a positive, can-do approach, the successful candidate will possess a university degree in a related field. A graduate certificate in fundraising and experience in an educational institution would be considered an asset. With 4-5 five years’ progressive related stewardship experience in a stewardship role, you have a proven track record creating innovative programs that have led to increased engagement. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Your strong organizational skills support your ability to be adaptable while remaining relationship focused and results oriented. Highly collaborative, the Manager is a self-starter, who is able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to write and develop templates with significant attention to detail is supported by your superior written and verbal communication skills.
Technically savvy with strong analytical skills, you will have experience with Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite applications. Familiarity with InDesign would be considered an asset. An understanding of relevant CRA regulations and the ability to plan, budget and forecast effectively complete your profile.
