The Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation is a registered charity with the primary goal of raising funds for the benefit of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Our success is tied directly to the compassionate spirit and generous support of the community, dedicated staff and a vibrant volunteer team who generate tremendous enthusiasm in support of our hospital and its many services.

The Foundation never forgets that excellent patient care begins and ends with the talented and caring professionals at our hospital. Through scholarship programs aimed at recruiting young people into the medical field, and various programs to support continuing education for our healthcare professionals, we are proudly supporting our legacy of healthcare excellence. The Foundation’s mission is to support the Hospital in its quest to become a centre of excellence for our community and our region.

Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation has recently achieved their $20 million ‘We are all Soldiers’ campaign goal and have set a new $25 million target for 2023. During this exciting juncture, we are seeking a new President and CEO.

The OSMH Foundation CEO is responsible for the strategic, programmatic, financial and administrative operations of the Foundation, including the development and execution of the annual operating plan to ensure the Foundation secures needed support from community sources, including individuals, corporations, institutions and service organizations.

We are seeking a seasoned leader with experience in health care, or a not-for-profit organization.  You are a strategic thinker with demonstrated success in building fundraising programs including major gift fundraising, capital campaigns, planned giving and annual campaigns in excess of $25 million.  You understand the importance of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major donors, and can articulate your demonstrated success in quantifiable terms.  You have extensive experience coaching and mentoring a team to achieve organizational objectives, and to support the values and mission of the organization.  You have worked closely with and/or have reported to a Board of Directors to achieve fundraising initiatives and have an appreciation for governance and hospital/foundation relationships. You understand the competitive nature of the philanthropic sector as it relates to health care in particular and you possess the knowledge and leadership to inspire innovative advances and longer-term goals.
