Are you excited by corporate partnerships and have the drive to build something new? Achev is seeking a resourceful, dynamic, experienced individual to be its Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of a new revenue stream for Achev.  A self-directed, high achiever, you will build a plan and execute strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partnerships.  A proactive and strong relationship builder, you will initiate the engagement of first-time corporate partners to support Achev’s 6 Core Program and Service pillars.

Playing a leadership role, you will work collaboratively with the Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and External Relations, an engaged volunteer Corporate Sponsorship committee, the CEO, and other Achev program and subject area experts. In this role, you will execute annual business plans, be responsible for producing and responding to leads and coordinating and supporting the work of the volunteer committee to secure corporate partnerships.

In this role, you will:

  • Build all aspects of a Corporate Partnership function within Achev with the guidance of the SVP Strategic Partnerships and External Relations. This role will enable the incumbent to scale and grow as we expand the department plans
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts and prospects to achieve personal and team corporate sponsorship goals, focusing on revenue generation opportunities
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle including initial contact with current accounts and prospects, developing cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and fulfillment activities that advance each relationship to higher levels of support
  • Proactively research new corporate prospects, qualify prospects that are presented, determining their alignment, fit, relevancy and capacity, and execute customized strategies for engagement
  • Initiate contact and develop relationships with corporations, approaching partners with the intent to meet their business objectives, while representing all ways to impact Achev’s priorities within their core program and service pillars.
  • Create annual and long-term business development plans for the partnerships
  • Continually replenish the prospect pipeline with strategically aligned, like-minded corporate brands
  • Lead the development of compelling and customized proposals, presentations, activations and financial reports for prospective partnerships and stewardship and fulfillment reports for secured partnerships
  • Develop and implement required policies and processes
  • Ensure all activity is captured in the CRM database and create and generate data for reports, ensuring all reports are current and accurate
  • Execute timely cultivation and stewardship activities for corporate sponsors and prospects in collaboration with Achev colleagues
  • Engage and support business industry volunteer relationships to advance goals

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  To qualify for this role, you must have 5 years of related work experience in a similar role, specifically within relationship sales and grant writing experience with a demonstrated history of successfully asking for and securing donations greater than $50,000
  • A university degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, marketing or a combination of relevant academic and practical experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising that must include  prospecting for, securing and managing corporate sponsorships relationships
  • Experience in the Not-for-Profit or charitable sector and previous experience developing and executing tactical sales plans
  • Experience in leading the development of integrated corporate partnerships or strategies, with a history of building successful proposals or cases for support resulting in multi-year funding commitments.
  • Experience supporting senior volunteer relationships to advance goals
  • A strong network of influential industry contacts within the region as well as experience in maintaining involvement with applicable regional and national industry and trade associations
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and present strong cases for support
  • MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Drive, ambition, and the ability to work collaboratively while holding others accountable
  • A track record of successfully achieving or exceeding established quotas and account objectives
