Toronto / Full-time

Due to COVID-19 Guidelines, this role involves remote / work from home with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working in the office and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan, and/or changing needs of the Foundation. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. With a dedicated staff of more than 3,000 physicians, clinicians, researchers, educators and support staff, CAMH offers outstanding clinical care to more than 34,000 patients each year. The organization conducts ground-breaking research, provides expert training to health care professionals and scientists, develops innovative health promotion and prevention strategies, and advocates on public policy issues at all levels of government.

CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. Generous and dedicated supporters help CAMH advance discovery and innovation, build spaces that promote recovery, and break down the stigma of mental illness.

The Corporate and Community Partnerships team is responsible for engaging corporate Canada and various community groups in a meaningful way that results in long-term and sustainable partnerships that help the Foundation reach its fundraising, awareness, and impact goals. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships is a key member of the Corporate and Community Partnerships team. They contribute to the development of the multi-year strategic roadmap for the organization and work collaboratively and respectfully with Foundation and Hospital colleagues to achieve organization-wide priorities. The Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships will grow the contributions of corporate partners in support of the Hospital’s priorities, through monitoring business trends, and building lasting and sustainable relationships with corporate Canada. They will also provide leadership and support to the team, and be a subject matter expert that the Foundation at large can rely on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributing member of the Corporate and Community Partnerships team, work collaboratively and proactively with all Foundation team members
  • Leading contributor to the Foundation’s corporate engagement strategy and fundraising direction
  • Achieve individual goals, including production, revenue, and expense results to contribute to team goals and Foundation goals
  • Accountable for the acquisition, renewal, performance, and satisfaction of corporate partners assigned to them at all stages of the fundraising cycle
  • Contribute, collaboratively, to the development of custom fundraising materials across Foundation teams, including cases for support, proposals, presentations, sponsorship materials, one-pagers, stewardship reports, brochures and others as assigned
  • Continually develop and ensure the successful performance of all fundraising products including:
    • Corporate philanthropy through custom asks
    • Employee engagement and workplace giving
    • Cause marketing
    • Sponsorship
    • Signature events
  • Acquire, support, and manage senior volunteers and corporate champions
  • Collaborate with a solutions oriented mindset with Foundation and Hospital teams and in cross-functional projects
  • Participate in performance reviews and professional development activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise around corporate partnerships and engagement
  • Support the planning and budget process of the Corporate and Community Partnerships team
  • Support the achievement of the Foundation’s strategic plan
  • Manage and support new business opportunities as assigned
  • Continually advance the Foundation-Hospital relationship
  • Act as an ambassador for the Hospital and the Foundation
  • Support the Foundation leads’ Board meeting attendance and presentations as required through contributing information relevant to their portfolio and activities
  • Support the Chief Partnerships Officer and Director, Corporate Partnerships with team growth with the following, as appropriate:
    • Provide fundraising support on top prospects and key supporters
    • Provide direction and support with the management of volunteers
    • Support junior staff training related to job requirements and responsibilities
    • Provide professional coaching
    • Ensure orientation to job and team
    • Set and communicate tasks, standards, and expectations on projects worked on collaboratively
    • Provide business development opportunities
    • Assist in identifying professional development and job related goals
    • Promote internal and external training opportunities
    • Build performance through delegation and teamwork
    • Provide regular feedback through the use of weekly/biweekly/monthly meetings

 WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • A University degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years experience in relationship building and strategy development, or a combination of education and experience that is deemed equivalent.
  • A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.
  • Track record of developing and leading new and creative corporate partnerships and supporting major corporate donors
  • Proven leadership skills including the successful coaching of senior volunteers
  • Significant experience creating and managing annual plans including the preparation, monitoring and reporting of budgets, targets and associated qualitative information
  • Proven track record of achieving targets within tight deadlines
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Successful fundraising project management experience working collaboratively across teams
  • Experience of using Raiser’s Edge or an equivalent fundraising database
