
Senior Manager Marketing and Communications
Bethell Hospice Foundation is seeking a Senior Manager Marketing & Communications to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with 7+ years of experience including significant work within the charitable sector & a degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, and will bring strong business acumen together with a proven track record to see the big picture, prioritize and manage multiple projects with ease; superior writing skills with the ability to produce compelling material to a range of audiences; high-level communication skills to a variety of stakeholders, colleagues, media, volunteers, donors and the general public; and exceptional tact and diplomacy. The candidate will also be required to maintain awareness of, and make recommendations for the implementation of emerging trends and technology.
Responsibilities include:
- advising the Executive Director and Foundation Board on organizational communications strategies; managing the organizational communications plan
- managing the Bethell Hospice & Bethell Hospice Foundation brand, ensuring adherence to brand standard, professionalism and effectiveness in all material
- writing and managing production of all organizational marketing materials; liaising with graphic design firm to ensure clear & consistent messaging and materials
- establishing public relations strategies and plans for implantation
- cultivating and maintaining an effective media relations program, including press releases and media coverage of events
- identifying and generating human interest stories to further engage the media when possible
- writing compelling copy for direct mail campaigns and related appeals
- writing, editing and producing bi-annual Accolades newsletter to donors and community stakeholders
- writing, editing and producing Annual Report, incorporating content from both Bethell Hospice Foundation and Bethell Hospice
- preparing effective speaking notes for Foundation Board members for a variety of fundraising events and speaking engagements
- preparing organizational advertising budget and recommending strategies to effectively reach target audiences and build general awareness with minimal expenditures, utilizing both traditional and non-traditional channels
- producing effective acknowledgement vehicles to recognize donor gifts
- supervising contract communications staff in the delivery of effective and timely website and social media messaging
- analyzing social media results, and advising on strategies to enhance performance
